Medical coding and billing II will identify action checklists,
reference resources, and strategic implementation issues that health
information management professionals need to meet process requirements
of the ICD-9-CM and CPT 4 coding. This class is designed to advance the
coding student's knowledge of the format, conventions and current coding
practices for the ICD-9-CM. Review exercises will allow coders to
practice their coding skills on examples that closely resemble actual
patient records. This class is designed to prepare the student for an
entry level position in the hospital setting.
