Medical Interpreter training provides qualified bilingual individuals with the skills required to deliver accurate and complete medical interpretation in health care settings. After completing this 48 hour course, students will be able to; identify and overcome barriers to understanding that can occur between English-speaking providers and Hispanic patients, demonstrate basic knowledge of anatomy & physiology, define key terms related to body systems, and learn medical terminology. Students must be able to speak & read both English and Spanish.
