Medical transcription is a fascinating and extremely necessary position within the medical profession. Medical Transcriptionists listen to dictated recordings made by physicians and other health care professionals and transcribe them into medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative material. A knowledge of medical terminology, good typing skills and a working knowledge of English grammar, spelling & proofreading are essential and will be covered in this course. Upon completion of this 84 hour course the student will be prepared to seek an entry level position as a medical transcriptionist.
